MONTGOMERYVILLE, Pennsylvania – As part of a recent series of moves to transform their cleanroom product lines, AES Clean Technology has made two new hires that continue to emphasize the importance of innovation to the ongoing success of the organization. Drew Kugler was hired in a new role as Vice President of Innovation and Product Development, and Eric Sams was hired as Plant Manager for the company’s expanding facility in Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2020, AES Clean Technology aligned its cleanroom facility offerings under the Faciliflex brand, offering a comprehensive array of services for the design, construction and performances of cleanroom spaces, which are crucial to the manufacture of therapeutics, vaccines and other biomaterials for the life sciences industry.

“The Faciliflex line of cleanroom products are delivering unprecedented capabilities to our customers in the life sciences, directly impacting the lives of patients,” said Jonathan Wolff, Marketing Manager. “Faciliflex is built from decades of experience in innovating cleanroom technologies, which is why we are bringing in talented individuals like Drew and Eric to keep advancing our technologies and driving our growth.”

As Vice President of Innovation and Product Development, Drew Kugler will be responsible for designing and launching innovative new products and solutions for AES Clean Technology. In his role, Kugler has been tasked to serve as the voice of AES clients and collaborate with the entire AES team to create transformative ways to solve the problems facing the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Kugler comes to AES with a long history of helping medical device and specialty materials companies drive innovation and high-impact concept development. He received his MBA from the Simon School at University of Rochester, a masters in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University, and a bachelors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Biomedical Engineering.

Eric Sams joins AES as the Atlanta Plant Manager just as the company has significantly increased operations at the facility. As the Faciliflex product line continues to expand, Sams will focus on increasing production in Atlanta while developing new capabilities to allow for future growth.

Sams has over 17 years of experience and increasing responsibility in manufacturing operations, from material/supply chain management to continuous improvement management to operations and plant management. Eric received his bachelors in Integrated Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
